The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。The film documents the solitary existence of Jake, a man who lives in isolation in the middle of the forest in remote Scotland. It follows the character's unconventional life, capturing moments of profound beauty. Jack is seen in all seasons, surviving frugally, passing the time with strange projects, living the radical dream he had as a younger man, a dream he spent two years ...。故事发生在一处偏远的小山村之中，一天，这里来了一位名叫石久的访客，他带来了一台电影放映机，给从未离开过村落的村民们放电影看，替村民们打开了新世界的大门。石久发现才富拥有过人的歌唱天赋，为了这天赋不至于被埋没，石久千辛万苦总算替他筹得了500元资助费，将才富送进了城里。 因为整日辗转于村落之间，石久已经很久很久都没有回过家了，最终，妻子选择带着孩子离开了他。一次偶然中，石久将心中的苦闷和烦恼告诉了一名记者，这位记者将石久的事迹写成了文章登上了报纸，让石久的光荣故事流传了开了。成名后，石久面临的困境得到了解决。。
